There's no place like home!

Ah ah ah ah ah... hi! My name is Sima, or so I'm told, and I'm a virtual puppy. You'll have to bear with me, I just got here, and I'm kinda scared. But I'm only 7 weeks old, too, how about you, how long have you been here??

Today I started the day with my brothers and sisters, then POOF, this really nice lady took me and my sister and put us in this thingy called a van, and brought us to this new nice person. She says we're gonna be Seeing Eye dogs when we get big, and I'm not quite sure what that is, but if it means playing with all the swell toys we have now, I think I'm gonna like it.

YAWWWWWWWWWN! Sorry, but it's been a long day, and I'm one tired puppy, so I'm gonna catch some zzzzzs in my nice safe place. Maybe I'll see ya tomorrow??

That's right, our virtual puppy, Sima, has arrived! And now it's up to our online family to provide the walks, the field trips, etc. to help him along on his way towards a successful guide career. As time goes on, we'll post new pictures as he grows and starts joining in on various puppy club activities.

The idea for the name Sima comes from the virtual games, Sim; I.E. Sim City (short for simulation).

According to Wikipedia, Sima, or SIMA, may refer to the name "Sima", a name which originates in Iran, which is an old Persian name which has regained popularity over the last few decades meaning "the aura surrounding a beautiful face".

Other cultures have adopted the name Sima as well. In Hebrew "Sima" means "Precious thing" or "treasure". The name is also common in India, where it is spelled "Seema".
